Sure, you need to be social media. Why? Because it is an extension of your customer experience. And you need to know where to be on social media. You don't need to be everywhere. You need to be where your customers are. So that doesn't mean you need to start a page for every social media outlet or app. My mantra is to choose one or two platforms and to do them well. You'll help yourself if select two that work together well (like Facebook and Instragram). Social media is dynamic while websites are for the most part static.
